At NMCC, we are a nonprofit counseling and consulting ministry serving the Upstate of South Carolina and neighboring North Carolina counties.
Our desire is to provide a welcoming environment where individuals, couples and families can find support, encouragement, and guidance through life’s challenges. We believe in combining professional counseling services with a compassionate, faith-centered approach to care.

Dr. Keith Phillips
Director & Counselor
Dr. Phillips is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Supervisor whose counseling approach integrates cognitive behavioral techniques with a biblical worldview. He specializes in marriage counseling, anger management, and substance abuse counseling and brings years of counseling and ministry experience to New Mercies.
Norma Lynn Phillips
Office Contact
Mrs. Norma Lynn serves as the office “communication hub” of New Mercies Counseling & Consulting. She takes great joy in connecting with and helping people, providing a welcoming point of contact for those seeking services.
Marcie Smith
Counselor
Marcie provides compassionate, client-centered support for individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions and other mental health challenges. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, she works collaboratively with each client and incorporates Christian and biblical perspectives into the counseling process.

Supervision & Speaking
Professional supervision for graduate counseling students and LPC Associates pursuing full licensure, along with speaking engagements for churches and other organizations.
